Android 2.0 OS is now available to developers, as Google has just announced that Android SDK supports the latest version of the OS, also known as Eclair.

Android 2.0 comes with new developers APIs for sync and Bluetooth, as well as lots of new user features.

The new features include: support for multiple accounts (Google and Exchange), search functionality for SMS and MMS, improved virtual keyboard, camera enhancements (scene mode, digital zoom, color effects, white balance and macro focus), refreshed browser UI, support for HTML5, support for double-tap zoom in the browser and so on. All the new features of Android 2.0 can be found here.

Most probably, the first phone to come with Android 2.0 is Verizon’s Motorola Droid, which should be officially announced tomorrow.
